The project is a response to the morphological conditions of the existing space and to a specific program, a Hairdressing Salon in the centre of Lisbon. Though the pre-existing space and its structure influenced the design, the outcome is a choreographic composition that creates different moments of experience in a fluid environment.

The space is now abstract, fluid and free of infrastructures, punctuated by various objects mainly in Portuguese marble or black steel. The ceiling height changes according to the variation of the function. At the entrance there is a waiting room, surrounded by a translucid white curtain that separates it from the cutting area. The highest ceiling zone is characterised by a golden cylinder with a black velvet curtain, a nuclear structure where hair washing is performed.
