Indoor architectures for cats

Entirely made of cardboard, the boxes designed by A Cat Thing are modular, to fit cats’ personalities and their owners’ spaces.

A Cat Thing, Room Collection, 2018

A Cat Thing is a furniture collection for cats and their owners. The Room Collection is a system of small-sized cardboard boxes that can be stacked to form tiny indoor architectures. The shapes are designed to facilitate cats’ behavior: they can jump, hide, rest and crawl easily. Inspired by prefab buildings and Lego, the collection is made of four modules (room, livingroom, balcony, ramp) that are easily connected through the basic principles of origami. All the materials used are recyclable and non-toxic and feature a very high payload, allowing kittens as well as giant cats to run and jump on them.
