The Freshingh designed by dongqi architects is located on South Shaanxi road, in the center of Shanghai. The primary task was to renovate the retail store into an appealing space to attract more customers and merge into the surroundings. It was turned into a refreshing space marked by a soft green color.

The main design element is the pale green stainless steel sheet bent into semi-cylinders. The pattern was laser cut optimize the final composition. The gradient gives this tough material a soft feeling and textile-like texture. Functionally, the semi-cylinders act like covers of the ventilator and the fan of the air conditioner. At the same time, they are fruit containers. A surface of mirrored-stainless steel is attached on the other side of the semi-cylinder containers, adding another layer of light for the entire shop. The wall and ceiling are made of white tiles and stainless steel. The facade is also treated with same laser-cut steel sheet. A big-folding door is used to open up the indoor space to the street. Next to the door, the pick-up window offers the passersby a view of the juice preparation.
