The Momonsters live in Giovanni Motta’s immaginary world: the designer finds inspiration in Japanese cartoons, and in his children’s drawings. These small ceramic sculptures recover specific states of mind generated by memories. “A monster, from latin monstrum – prodigy, portent, is an extraordinary thing, just like experiencing a certain emotion”, he explains.
In her Primates collection, Elena Salmistraro uses a colorful palette inspired by the similarity between monkeys and men. The detailed vases bring this magnificent animal to our domestic environment.
