Time Space Existence: the Future of Architecture In Venice

Until November 23, 2025, Venice is the global hub for architectural discussion with "Time Space Existence." This biennial exhibition, spearheaded by the European Cultural Centre, features projects from 52 countries, all focused on "Repairing, Regenerating, and Reusing" for a more sustainable future.

The new large and lush greenhouse serves as the connector between the two floors, and provides an inviting, informal setting. The vision was to create a relaxed atmosphere that brings to mind the ambience of a garden party. Intimacy, authenticity, community, and an appeal to all the senses, have become central values in the gastronomic world.

The materials choosed are very textural. They have edge, soul, and authenticity, contrary to many newly produced materials that are often smooth, and do not leave an impression. However, using recycled materials is not just doing good for the environment by reducing waste, it also allowed architects to work with unique and historical materials that in return provide the desired authenticity.

The greenhouse is the focal point of the restaurant. It creates the setting of a frothy garden experience, in the center of the city. Here, plants and leaves are growing, enhancing the feel of the nordic cuisine that characterizes the menu. The windowpanes in the greenhouse are made from recycled pinewood and the shelves are made from the mahogany lists from the old stands at Lyngby Stadion.
