B&B Italia presented in Cologne two new collections designed by Antonio Citterio: Richard, an interior seating system and Gio, an outdoor complete range.

Displayed in a spectacular 700 square metres space at the imm Cologne fair, the new products are the result of the B&B Italia Research & Development Centre’s ability to establish a fruitful dialogue with the great designers with whom it collaborates.

Richard is the new seating system which distinguishes itself by its balanced contemporary design, with references to classical atmospheres. Its modular theme is developed by 76 elements in two depths: 90 cm for more formal and contained solutions, and 120 cm for larger compositions and more informal seating.

The Mirto Indoor range has been enriched with new elements such as low tables, service tables, ottomans and consoles, and introduces the new pewter painted finish for the metal structures; the Eileen range adds a new type of console which can be integrated with seating systems as a service element and the e range of finishes has been broadened; while PAB by Studio Kairos, launched in Cologne in 1996, offers a new “all black” version, with metal structural elements now also available in black.

Gio, designed by Antonio Citterio, is the new series with a contemporary classic accent dedicated to living in the open air. A complete range of sofas, end units, chaise longue, sunbeds, armchairs, chairs, tables and complements which have been developed from solid teak structures with a special antique grey finish, which gives the wood a particular lived-in aspect and silver-grey reflective quality.
