Autodesk and 3Discover.it present the new Ember printer, showing that 3D printing can produce complete, finished and useful objects.

3D printing or additive manufacturing was the focus of an event at the Fuorisalone. Ember is the point of reference for the implementation of the Spark creative ecosystem, an open software platform for 3D printing that connects digital information to printers in new ways, linking up to all the hardware and using all types of material.

The MHOX generative design studio, LivreaYacht, the first to create a boat using 3D technology, Youbionic, a design studio that develops prostheses and Artficial, a platform for printing copies of art objects were involved in a day of workshops, talks and exhibitions, with an added expert contribution from Canella Camaiora Studio Legale, experts in creativity protection.

During the event, visitors watched a printing demonstration supported by Autodesk Fusion 360 modelling software – cloud-based and free to schools/start-ups – which completes the vision of the American multinational’s new creative ecosystem.
