Through 30 September, the works of the ten young designers shortlisted for the international design festival Design Parade 7 are on display in the vaulted ceiling rooms at Villa Noailles, Hyères. This year, the Grand Prize was awarded to French-Swiss designer Julie Richoz for her Bouleau series; the audience-decided Public Prize was awarded to French designer Marc Sarrazin, who presented Réveils.
The majority of the remaining shortlisted designers are French: Sibylle Delclaux, Fanette Pesch, Fanny Dora, Maxence Loisson
de Guinaumont, Lili Gayman and Michel Giesbrecht. Finalist Henny van
Nistelrooy comes from the Netherlands, and Giorgia Zanellato from Italy.
The jury for the Grand Prix this year reunited François Azambourg, Fernando Amat, Lionel Blaisse, Giulio Cappellini, Paloma Canizares, Jean-Baptiste Fastrez, Galerie kreo's Didier Krzentowski, Inga Sempé, and past winners Raymond Guidot and Brynjar Sigurdarson.
