This year, Fuorisalone returns, taking over the city’s streets with a busy schedule of temporary exhibitions, most of which are open during business hours. But what about after 6 pm? For those not directly involved in design, and architecture, or who don’t have flexible schedules, much of the city’s offerings will likely be missed until the weekend, triggering the familiar FOMO that often accompanies Design Week (we talked about it here). Fortunately, we can reassure our readers that Design Week is not just a showcase of new projects visible for a limited time. In true Milanese fashion, there’s a lineup of evening events, extraordinary openings, and exclusive parties to keep the city buzzing after hours.

Industrial buildings continue to draw significant interest, prized for their expansive interiors that lend themselves well to large-scale events. Take, for instance, Dropcity, hosting a different DJ every evening until 2 am while keeping its two side exhibition tunnels accessible. Similarly, Baranzate Ateliers, occupying a 7300 m2 industrial structure dating back to the 1950s near Linate, is hosting two cocktail parties (Monday and Wednesday until midnight). This year, Ikea also extends its hours, featuring nightly DJ sets until midnight with both local and international artists. Certain areas of the exhibition will remain open to the public, allowing for a nocturnal exploration of a space designed to offer a captivating multisensory experience.
