Dimorestudio has staged a magical dichotomy between the accelerationism of an interstellar journey and the poetic nature of suspended atmospheres a là Luigi Ghirri. Apparently conflicting parallel worlds find common ground in Interstellar and Progetto tessuti, the two projects presented at the ex- “children’s” cinema in Via Mascagli 8.
A possible dichotomy: Dimorestudio at Fuorisalone 2019.
The launch of Dimoremilano: at the ex-Cinema Arti, the new brand by Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran is presented as a manifesto containing creative universes in constant evolution.

Compared to the clean macro lines of the first collection (2015), Progetto Tessutti this year surprises with a sophisticated richness that pushes the boundaries of the possible. Kiss me tiger and Interstellar (which is also the name of a fabric) add a tactile and three-dimensional component to the great visual impact of thefabrics. The first, with a chenille base, is a literal representation of tiger fur; the second recalls the clean and mystical atmosphere given by the cover of Blackstar, David Bowie’s last album.
Both are presented in the Interstellar installation set on a floating floor which resembles a data centre: the first coat the concrete and plexiglass armchairs, and the second the cushions of the vis-a-vis 132 armchair. In the area dedicated to the Progetto Tessuti, the atmosphere is the opposite: Interstellar's techno groove is contrasted by Andrea Ferrari's photographic project, set up on a deliberated unfinished space, as evidenced by the walls, where broken tiles allow us to glimpse the stakes of the installation. The photographic installation transports us into a poetic impulse of setting the fabrics in places of the city full of feeling and truth, such as the gardens of Porta Venezia and the Balera dell'Ortica.
