Inspired by Le Corbusier, the Palace restaurant and hotel is a splendid example of Finnish modernism opened in 1952, designed by Viljo Revell and Keijo Petäjä. It is located in the harbour of Eteläranta and has the shape of an ocean liner. The entire building has been recently renovated, and also the restaurant, the flagship of Finnish gastronomy, awarded in 1987 with the Michelin star, has undergone a renovation of the interior. The project received the approval of the Helsink City Museum. The modernism of the 50s has been adapted to the present day. The furniture is studied, with particular attention to the choice of colors but also of materials: the iconic wood (teak) covers walls and elevators.Chefs actively intervened to define the tone of the table.
