“Four hands, two brains, plus a male and a female point of view.” On their website, this is how Alberto Basaglia and Natalia Rota Nodali sum up the practice they established in 1997. Eclectically addressing projects that range from architecture to town-planning, environmental design and product design, the two architects from Bergamo are the designers behind an innovate lamp produced by I Tre, a brand in the Fibre di Vetro group that articulates the tradition and modernity of Murano glass. Promoteo’s diffuser, in white non-woven fabric with black carbon fibre wrapped by hand, emits a soft yet intense light. The support is a curved arm in steel rod that houses (and conceals) the power cable. The base, also in steel rod, turns through 180° to reduce the lamp’s bulk and bring light to all points.
