Reflected in the brightness of
the silver are the deep bonds
of friendship that connected
Gio Ponti and the owner of
the Christofle company Tony
Bouilhet.
They met in Paris in 1925 at
the Exposition Internationale
des Arts Décoratifs. Three
years later Bouilhet married
one of Ponti’s nieces. To coincide
with the Furniture Fair,
the Milan Triennale is hosting
an exhibition dedicated
to this important chapter
of design history. The installation,
curated by Italo Lupi,
illustrates 25 of the objects
produced in a creative journey
