A competition to find new solutions for positive city living has been launched by the Hokkaido Institute for the Future Advancement, in Japan. "New lifestyles for the city of Sapporo" is in fact intended to gather new ideas and projects on the possibilities for pleasurable living in the city of today, with full respect for the environment.

The contest is open to architects, designers, graphic artists and fashion stylists. Final date for registration and submission of drawings is January 31, 2002.
