Aria Days in Florence: the “aerosolar” sculptures by Tomás Saraceno

The Aerocene Foundation presents the story of mobility through the air with Aria Days. The appointment is from 11 to 13 September, at Manifattura Tabacchi, in collaboration with Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi.

During the three days, it will be possible for spectators to witness the flights of Tomás Saraceno’s “aerosolar sculptures”, capable of hovering in the air thanks to the warmth of the Sun and the infrared radiation of the Earth's surface.

Along with the selection of publications, the projection of video documentaries and the exhibition of the flight starter kit in the spaces of Manifattura Tabacchi - dedicated to the exhibition of Palazzo Strozzi “Tomás Saraceno. Aria” -, the flight demonstrations will allow the public to come into contact with the world of Aerocene, an interdisciplinary artistic community founded by the Argentinean artist who develops projects of ecological sensitivity for a new ethical collaboration with the atmosphere and the environment.
