As part of the off-circuit Art City Bologna, “Vestimenti” is the new solo show by Sissi (Bologna, 1977) conceived as a single installation project for the inner spaces of Palazzo Bentivoglio in Bologna, Italy.
The exhibition focuses on the wide production of sculpture-clothes by the artist: unconventional (and rarely wearable) garments composed by different materials, point to a different reading of the anatomy, the body, the daily habits, the identity.
The selected works are able to cover twenty years of career – in which Sissi distinguished herself for using sculpture, painting, drawing, video, photography and performance – deepening one of the cardinal elements of her poetics. On the occasion of the Bologna Art Week, on the 26th of January is taking place a performance.
