The exhibition at the Palazzo delle Papesse in Siena looks at the origins of Kinetic Art that led to the formation of Gruppo Zero in Germany while in Italy Azimuth and Gruppo T were fomed in Milan and Gruppo Enne in Padua.

The years? Those that lead up to 1968 and the general overturning of consolidated customs. The founders of Gruppo Zero were Otto Piene, Heinz Mack and Günther Uecker. In Italy, artists and designers exchanged ideas: Piero Manzoni, Gabriele de Vecchi, Giovanni Anceschi, Enzo Mari, Agostino Bonalumi, Nanda Vigo. The exhibition “Zero. 1958-1968 between Germany and Italy” was conceived by Marco Meneguzzo and Stephan von Wiese. L.B.
