The fourth edition of the competition Nouvi Segni is being launched by Gruppo Il Sole 24Ore which promotes young talent in the field of visual arts. The theme for2002/2003 is design for the community – an invitation to artists under 35 to explore new creative models through reflecting on the nature of public work and the role of art in today’s society. The winner – decided on by a jury of experts lead by Stefano Boeri – will be offered the chance to work in a design studio, following on from Renzo Piano, Michele De Lucchi and Cerri, this time it will be at Multiplicity, a research company on urban issues.

Latest deadline for registration is 31 January 2003 whilst work should be submitted by 22 February. Selections will be made in March.
