Five years after her last show in Milan, Rosa Maria Rinaldi returns with her latest work to the Antonia Jannone in Milan. Bright colours in oil pastel worked by hand illuminate the interior views so loved by the artist, transporting us into a personal world of life experiences, memories of journeys and treasured objects. A world which transmits a fullness of sensations and a view “from above” , far from the frenetic path propounded by today’s way of life.
An approach and painting technique with a precise dimension and logic, well expressed in Corrado Levi’s introduction to the exhibition catalogue: … “Looking closer, in the interior views each element becomes a room in itself. Looking closer, the view from above is a parenthesis. Looking closer, the colours animate things and make them stand alone. Looking closer, excess forces materiality. And on closer consideration the fullness is desire. And on closer consideration the risk is shrewd”.
