115 metres high (29 storeys) with a floor area of 52,000 square metres, the first tower in Harlem in New York, between 125th Street and Park Avenue, will be designed by TEN Arquitectos. Inside it will house offices, apartments, a 200 room hotel, a fitness centre and shops.

Enrique Norten, head of the Mexican practice, rises to the challenge, “For me it’s obviously a big mark in New York to be able to build a tower”, he says. “It’s especially important because it’s the first tower in the area. It designates the development of an area that has been screaming for something to happen there”. Harlem Park, as the tower will be known as, could be finished by the end of 2004.
