Dutch architect René van Zuuk features in an exhibition opened recently at ARCAM in Amsterdam (until 26 October). The exhibition highlights in particular his design for ARCAM’s new building which is due to open next spring on the island of Oosterdok, between NEMO by Renzo Piano and the new Maritime Museum.

It consists of a three storey pavilion with space for temporary exhibitions, offices and multi-functional conference room linked together in a dramatic continuum. The project is illustrated in a wealth of detail with models, drawings and photographs, alongside other work by van Zuuk based in Almere – the ‘Toekomst’ Club House for AJAX in Amsterdam, the ‘Psyche’ residence for the Van Diepen family and ‘Block 16’ a block of 42 apartments – as well as the pavilion for art ‘De Verbeelding’ in Zeewolde.

until 26.10.2002
