The prize-giving ceremony to crown the competition “Bocconi University: a Campus for the Third Millennium”, held in cooperation with Domus as part of the Milanese university’s centenary calendar, will take place concurrently with the official opening of the exhibition at 6 pm, at the Urban Center in Milan, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele 11/12.

Besides the winning projects – with 5 awarded prizes as laid down under the competition regulations - and in addition to three special mentions, the exhibition will also include the works most voted by Bocconi students, who were asked to express their judgement in a referendum last February.

Response to the competition appeal came from no less than 110 architectural firms across the globe. From these a shortlist was selected on January 30 last by a jury, chaired by Carlo Secchi, rector of Bocconi University, and assisted by the editor of Domus Deyan Sudjic. The jury was composed of the principal of the Prima Facoltà di Architettura in the Milan Polytechnic University, Cesare Stevan, by the director of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts Fernando de Filippi, and by the artists Arnaldo Pomodoro and Emilio Tadini.
