This city, European culture capital for the year 2000, still has some interesting shows under wraps to confirm this role. Among those in May of sure interest, "La forma dell'utile: design of the kitchen object 1930-1970", an itinerary through the formal and stylistic evolution of the kitchen object industrially produced from the 1930s to the 1970s, based on about 200 pieces designed by anonymous and international designers (at the Church of San Mattia from May 19 to June 17). Lovers of architecture must not miss "Eduardo Souto de Moura. Homes. Latest Projects", a show by the Portuguese architect who directs his research and activity primarily to the study and design of single-family dwellings (at the Esprit Nouveau Pavilion, piazza Costituzione 11, from May 24 to June 30).
