Redesigned by Berlin-based Studio 7.5, the Mirra 2 chair from Herman Miller represents the perfect combination of function and innovation.
For millions of workers around the world, spending six or more hours a day sitting down has become the norm. In this context, the role of a good chair extends far beyond mere functionality; it must provide support, adaptability, beauty and, now more than ever, sustainability. Ensuring comfort and ergonomics has always been one of Herman Miller's fundamental principles, and the brand has built its reputation by collaborating with the most visionary designers of our time to create solutions that combine aesthetics, functionality and well-being.
Today, with the updated version of the iconic Mirra 2 chair, Herman Miller reaffirms its commitment to a more sustainable future without compromising on its core strength: creating designs that improve lives.
Redesigned by Berlin-based Studio 7.5, the Mirra 2 chair is the perfect marriage of function and innovation. Every element has been carefully reimagined to reduce its environmental footprint without compromising the ergonomic technology that made the original chair a global success. The result is a chair that is light on its feet and light on the environment, yet heavy on substance.

Design lies at the heart of this evolution, with light, fluid shapes and tapered lines creating a refined harmony between materials and colours. Two versions of the backrest have been designed to meet different needs: the Butterfly Back, which is a refined interweaving of polymer and fabric that reacts to the body's movements; and the more technical TriFlex, which is made entirely of polymer.
The new colour palette, ranging from warm tones such as ochre and cordovan to cool shades of olive green and ultramarine blue, offers customisation options to suit any contemporary environment. Monochromatic combinations or bold visual contrasts complete the stylistic offering and transform the chair into a central design element for any space.

With intuitive adjustment systems, breathable AireWeave seating, a flexible ring structure and patented PostureFit support, this chair offers immediate, tailored comfort that is perfect for the dynamic needs of contemporary work environments.
Using recycled materials — up to 100% in the base and frame — and reducing CO₂ emissions by up to 17% compared to the previous version are concrete steps towards a more environmentally conscious manufacturing approach. Without compromising the original design's identity, the Mirra 2 has been updated consistently, improving in technical, aesthetic, and environmental terms.
