Sunlight presents a new development in the name of sustainability: the 2024 version of the collection can be integrated with a photovoltaic system on the roof. Sunlight will in fact have a photovoltaic cell system perfectly integrated with the laminated glass roof system. This solution brings significant advantages in terms of sustainable and renewable electricity production, without impacting on the design and overall aesthetics of the structure.

A system that makes KE's bioclimatic solar greenhouse and conservatory a unique model in the category of increasingly energy-saving products, capable of harnessing sunlight as a source of clean energy production while maintaining the features and advantages of a bioclimatic greenhouse.

The photovoltaic cells are strategically arranged in a grid to maximise the available surface area for both energy production and thermal comfort. For example, with a configuration of 6x4.5 metres, Sunlight is able to generate a power output of 1.4 kW.  This makes the photovoltaic system suitable for a wide range of projects, both residential and contract. A key aspect of the design is the use of BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaic) laminated safety glass, which not only captures solar energy, but also retains performance and characteristics of high durability and safety.

The Sunlight integrated photovoltaic conservatory offers a flexible configuration that can be customised in either a free-standing or wall-mounted solution. Innovative transformer holder profiles have been designed to conceal the electrical cables, while ensuring easy inspection during maintenance operations and preserving aesthetics. The overall look of the system is also enhanced by a new cover system, which integrates perfectly with the column.
