Italian company Ponte Giulio presents Omnia, a collection of sanitary ware, furniture and accessories for a beautiful, safe and inclusive bathroom.
In recent years, the bathroom has been the protagonist of an evolution that has seen it move away from the dimension of a simple hygienic service and ennoble itself as a place of well-being, relaxation and body care. It is now an environment to be lived in, where we can spend time looking after ourselves. Ponte Giulio combines this trend with an important issue: safety for those with motor problems, disabilities or the elderly. Usually for this area the products on the market are poorly designed, service-oriented, and it is not easy to find furniture and accessories that are at the same time pleasant, functional and safe.
The Italian company presents Omnia, a line of versatile and complete elements that allow the user to move around the bathroom serenely and perform daily self-care activities naturally. The collection, consisting of accessorized safety handles, shower seats, storage units, washbasin, sanitary ware and mirrors - which can integrate hygienic systems - is designed for those who want to create a protected, hazard-free and comfortable environment, equipped with every support that can limit efforts and risks.
At the heart of the design are the handles, shaped like a flat oval, which are ergonomic and practical. A special mechanism, which facilitates the insertion of various accessories under the side terminals of the aid, allows the handles to become an ‘L’ and ‘U’ shaped towel rail, a roll holder, a coat hook, shelves, as well as storage trays and a practical crutch holder. All these functionalities do not detract from its main activity as a safety support: in fact, it is guaranteed to hold up to 150 kg.

A set of buttons for requesting help, installed as required in the bathroom directly on the products in the collection or on the walls, trigger a call to a pre-arranged telephone number, making a hands-free conversation possible. The control unit, located in the mirror, is operated via a simple and intuitive APP (Help System). In addition, a sanitisation system built into the mirror with PCO™ (photocatalytic oxidation) technology activates the removal of bacteria, viruses and mould from the air and surfaces through a totally natural and non-invasive chemical reaction (Safety Air System).
Omnia also includes a choice of seats: stool and tilting shower seat (for those situations where the wall does not provide a good seal). The inclined plane running around the perimeter of the seat is a graphic sign that is also repeated in other products in the collection, such as the washbasin and bidet. In addition to the floor-standing and wall-hung sanitary ware, this bathroom system also offers two ceramic washbasin formats - 65 and 100 cm - and one in Corian (also 65 cm). The minimalist washbasins are completed by a metal frame with an approach handle, a towel holder and a side holder. The collection also includes mirrors, available in three versions, with various types of lighting and safety systems.
Ponte Giulio's proposal highlights how the safety of bathroom environments cannot be limited to the simple adoption of an aid or a stool, but requires the implementation of a new paradigm, hence an evolution of space in which refinement, design and functionality are translated into an integrated system of elements, in a word: Omnia.
