How do you bring the magnificence, solidity and colour variations of a classic and solemn material such as marble into the world of interior design? The answer by the Italian company Atlas Concorde lies in the Marvel World project, which for 10 years now has encompassed various types of ceramic surfaces inspired by Italian and international marble, carefully selected from among the world's most precious references.

The latest collection to join the family is Marvel Meraviglia, inspired by the iconic Calacatta Meraviglia marble. With neutral nuances taken from the most sought-after marbles in the world of design, this collection encompasses unique elements: from slender, sparse veins to soft weaves, from white brushstrokes on a dark background to sumptuous blacks. The chromatic harmony proposes a beauty with a pictorial taste, capable of transferring an authentic and contemporary elegance and an essential formal cleanliness to interior design projects. Atlas Concorde has carefully studied the design of each natural grain and faithfully transfers it to each format in perfect harmony. The completeness and variety of the finishes, the formats themselves and the declination for both interiors and exteriors contribute to its richness and identity.

Yet another innovation at Atlas Concorde is the new Velvetech surface, inspired by the effect of polishing on natural stone. The results are a velvety feel and reflections that recall the variations of the surface of silk when encountering light, with a natural succession of shiny and opaque elements that bring out the tiny, artfully created scratches visible in reflected light. Thanks to the collaboration between Zaha Hadid Architects and Atlas Concorde, the Marvel Marvel collection is enriched with the Diamond decor, conceived as a new evolution of decorative design standards. It is the ultimate expression of a multi-faceted meeting of styles and values, capable of translating the very concept of transformation into design.

"The collaboration with Atlas Concorde," says Paolo Zilli, Associate Director of ZHA, "led to a project in which ZHA contaminates a classic mosaic with a disruptive element. Like an inclusion in a diamond, the insertion of a foreign body in a crystalline structure lends an unsuspected dynamism to the strict repetition of the rigid geometric mesh. In the resulting design, the insertion of a new logic creates a metamorphosis of the shape of the tesserae as the transition from one colour to another takes place. However, the rules of manufacture and logistics are not bent to the pursuit of design."
