5 items to place on the table for Christmas

knIndustrie presented five new collections of objects to give as gifts or to display in the kitchen and dining room for the year-end celebrations.

The new knIndustria collections are perfect gift items for design lovers and for those who love to furnish their dining table with taste and inspiration, enriching every daily activity. Cutlery, pots, food boxes, chopping boards and spice holders are redesigned to bring a touch of functional art to the kitchen and dining table.

Elegant and unusual, the Black Family collection stands out among the usual kitchen objects and enhances the colours of the dishes. Entirely black in colour, the products dedicated to cooking and preparing food and drinks are real sculptures to be displayed in the kitchen. Among the products presented in the new black dress: Creta pots, Matrioska shakers, Lady Anne Black coffee makers, Eat Big casseroles and pans.

The 18th century collection brings back to the table the excesses of the Baroque in a contemporary key. Proposed with stylised motifs on the cutlery we can find volutes, frills and decorative elements that recall the shapes of shells and leaves. The series of cutlery with a satin finish includes fork, spoon, table knife and fruit to which fork and serving spoon are added.

The five KnIndustrie Gastronomic Boxes are made of multilayer birch wood with a polished natural finish.  Each box includes a special set of objects that is inspired, for aesthetics and wear resistance, by the professional services used in the catering world. Whether it is for preparing cocktails, serving panettone or slicing ham, the gastronomic box is the perfect gift for the table master of ceremonies.

The reflections of Italian intellectual Carlo Belli included in KN  (1935), which is considered the Italian manifesto of abstractionism, have been reworked for the KN Book collection. Just as in abstract art there is an illusory perception of reality, so the new KN Books take on the appearance of books to hide the function of cutting boards. These can be sold separately or as a set of three chopping boards joined together by a fabric strap, to be displayed in the kitchen as a work of art that can then be used for real.

Five wooden boxes - oak boxes stained wenge, yellow or walnut - are more than just containers: they are mysterious and elegant objects that only show their true function when opened. The products in the Yellow Box collection can be used as sugar boxes, cheese boxes, spice boxes, sauce boxes and more, depending on the number of containers inside them.
