Simple, solid, honest and comfortable: the Deck Chair series designed by Børge Mogensen (1914-1972) in the 1960s meets the functional needs of any family, always struggling with lack of space. The collection produced by Carl Hansen & Son was originally designed by the master of Danish design to furnish the balcony of his family’s house.

A deckchair with cushion and footrest, a coffee table, a tray, a dining table with matching chairs can be easily folded and hung on a wall structure, which is conceived as a functional and decorative element.

Mogensen, known as “the designer of people”, had a democratic approach, attentive to the solidity and functionality of his objects, which always present a clear design and an aesthetic that is both classic and informal.
