Wacom has launched a new stylus for Windows 10 tablet PCs

The new Ink Plus can be recharged via USB and it’s compatible with the two main pen-recognition protocols available on Windows.

Wacom has launched a new Ink Plus stylus compatible with Windows 10 pen-enabled PCs. The digital pen is now rechargeable via USB instead of hard-to-find AAAA batteries and it’s also tilt compatible, a feature that was missing from previous generations of the stylus. The new Wacom pen supports the two main protocols used on Windows and can easily switch between the two. One is the MPP (Microsoft Pen Protocol), available on Microsoft Surface laptops, and the other is AES (Wacom’s own Active ElectroStatic protocol), implemented on Lenovo’s Thinkpad tablet PC series. As with previous Ink styluses, the new Ink Plus’ package includes a soft, a medium and a hard nib. The digital pen can be purchased on Wacom’s website for £85.
