Yes, it has an actual crank lever. And a unique game-distribution system.

The funny people a Panic, a company Known for some very popular iOS and macOS applications and for publishing Campo Santo’s cult adventure game “Firewatch”, have announced a new portable console system.
It’s called Playdate and it’s a quirky little device with a crank lever on its side, a 1-bit one-color screen, a directional pad and two game buttons. The mechanical crank will be leveraged by the games during gameplay as an interaction element. If that sounds whimsical to you, it’s because you still haven’t heard how games will be distributed to the console: Panic plans to release 12-game seasons, with contents kept secret until the release date and a first season already included with the price of the console, which will arrive in early 2020. The device was developed in partnership with Teenage Engineering, the Swedish maker of musical synthesizers such as the OP-1 and the Pocket Operator.
