6x6 represents the collaboration between the Milan-based architect Nicholas Bewick and the company Cesare Roversi. The modular system provided a refined answer to the ever-changing needs of the contemporary life. Flexibility has achieved the status of paradigm since the 1960s, a moment that represented a turning point in how we inhabit domestic and working spaces. From then on, habits, customs and conventions started to morph in today’s way of living.

Nicholas Bewick, as an architect having this in mind, has designed 6x6, a solution for the contemporary interior. Such system consists of laminated wood profiles connected by oval metal joints; these elements can be easily assembled and dismantled to adapt to a new function or space. Indeed, 6x6 can be used to build a piece of furniture as well as a partition, or arranged to provide more complex spaces. The places we live have become less and less stable, while we still need to keep with us the objects that support our everyday activities, along the ones we cherish.
