The Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) wants to build the largest Ferris wheel in the world without rays in Haneul Park in Sangam-dong district in Mapo-gu district, Seoul.

The giant wheel will rise on a land once used as a landfill, as a symbol of the circular economy and climate commitment to people and the environment. To build it you will need to develop an innovative technology, which at the moment still has to be pinned, so as to achieve a safe design and an aesthetically advanced design. Several Korean and foreign experts were involved.

The “Seoul Ring” will be a new landmark and gateway to the city and is designed to serve not only as an entertainment facility, but also as a cultural complex that will offer visitors the opportunity to explore the history of Nanjido island.

It is expected to be completed by 2025.
