Kohler launches voice-controlled, self-filling bathtub

At CES 2022, the U.S. company introduced a line of intelligent bath implements and its much-touted PerfectFill Technology, which lets customers run a bath with just a voice command.

Alexa or Google Assistant will soon be able to fill your bathtub to perfection with just a voice command. All you need for that is $2700 new technology called PerfectFill, created by Kohler, a U.S. manufacturer of bath appliances.

PerfectFill includes a digital valve and a drain kit, which a professional plumber must install on compatible bathtubs. The two elements can connect to Kohler’s app via a special hub, with full Alexa and Google Assistant compatibility. Users can run a bath to a perfect temperature and fill the tub at the preferred level without worrying about flooding the bathroom. After the bath, users can drain the tub with a voice command as well.

The PerfectFill valve and drain are available as a standalone product or as part of one of Kohler’s high-end smart bathtubs. Such as Stillness Bath, which was already a sensation at CES 2021. It’s a tub that combines fog, aroma, LEDs, and, of course, water to recreate the feeling of a luxury spa at home. Stillness Bath will be available in the U.S. in 2022, with prices starting at $8000.
