Sky Green is the recently completed project by Singapore-based practice WOHA in Taichung, Taiwan, commissioned by the developer Golden Jade with Feng Chia University as a sustainable buiding for the city. Including residential apartments, shops and recreational facilities distributed in two towers, the skyscraper aims to be a green benchmark for other buildings to be built in Taichung. Studio WOHA brings nature placing trees on Tower A balconies, extended with this purpose, and placing a green screen on the facade of Tower B, made of a grid where plants can grow. Every five floors the building offers skygardens. Sky Green has been designed considering the subtropical climate of the region, earthquakes and typhoons.
WOHA’s Sky Green tower aims to be a green benchmark for Taichung
Singapore-based studio WOHA completed the skyscraper in Taiwan. The building includes trees on the balconies, plants on the facade and skygardens every five floors.
