Sky Green is the recently completed project by Singapore-based practice WOHA in Taichung, Taiwan, commissioned by the developer Golden Jade with Feng Chia University as a sustainable buiding for the city. Including residential apartments, shops and recreational facilities distributed in two towers, the skyscraper aims to be a green benchmark for other buildings to be built in Taichung. Studio WOHA brings nature placing trees on Tower A balconies, extended with this purpose, and placing a green screen on the facade of Tower B, made of a grid where plants can grow. Every five floors the building offers skygardens. Sky Green has been designed considering the subtropical climate of the region, earthquakes and typhoons.
