Jewellery becomes the protagonist, set in the Milanese weeks and city’s fabric, from Porta Venezia to Porta Romana, in artisans’ workshops, art galleries, boutiques and schools. It is a vast theme, which not only concerns luxury and the precious, but goes beyond the commercial meaning and talks about creativity, restoration, sustainability, creative virtuosity and craftsmanship. And, although Milan has no particular production tradition in Italy, jewellery has always been part of the city’s culture, not only because of its high representation of masters and creatives, but also because of its research on the use of materials.

More than 80 events. Milan Jewelry Week involves schools that open its workshops to curious visitors. Important the prize instituted by the artist Gianni de Benedittis in collaboration with Artistar Jewels. The artist exhibits his creations inside the Bastions of Porta Venezia, accessible to the public for the occasion. And then the research of Vincent Vintage Bijoux on symbolism in jewellery, or Fabrice Schaefer in the gallery dedicated to contemporary jewellery by Irene Belfi, or again the artist’s jewel from BABS Art Gallery.
