Renewable energy and its avatars inhabit a historical power station

Interactive installations provide an immersive experience of energy, conceived by Dotdotdot and Storyfactory for Enel Green Power in Trezzo sull’Adda.

In the era of a possible post-internet, coming back to physical space as a medium for interaction is becoming an increasingly relevant asset in the communication of contents and values: Enel Green Power has approached such strategy with the “Interactive Power Plants” project.

Inside the Taccani power station in Trezzo sull’Adda (Milan) — both a masterpiece of Italian Liberty heritage and the first of an envisioned series of “interactive power plants”— Dotdotdot and Storyfactory have created an interactive multimedia  experience of renewable energies, inspired by the idea of  “(…) conveying content in an empathic and immediate way”.

Five avatars embodying the five renewable energy sources are activated by a voice recognition system and interact with visitors through different installations: a Kinect visually connecting human movements with the energy it produces, a graphic timeline, an immersive environment with a 360 ° projection, an energy- efficiency-centered videogame.
