Ceramic fish scales

Spanish studio MUT design translated the special reflective quality of the fish scales into a collection of ceramic tiles developed for Harmony by Peronda.

MUT, Scales, Harmony by Peronda
With Scales Mut creates a wall-covering inspired by nature.
In this occasion fish scales, with their special reflective quality, have become the main inspiration for the Spanish studio.

With Scales, Mut seeks to imitate the feeling of vibrating movement transmitted by the fishes when they ripple under water. The color on the rear side tinges the white smooth surface of every piece once they get together.

When assembled, the pieces suddenly make the optical miracle happen: some of them naturally irradiate colorful sparkles over the others, thus dying their former white epidermis.
