Following the success of the inaugural exhibition “Confessions” in 2012, House of Today presents the biennial exhibition “Naked: beyond the social mask” in Beirut, Lebanon.
This edition shows the work of 30 acclaimed Lebanese and international designers. The work collectively shares an intriguing mix of known Arabic forms, shapes and materials, with contemporary, international influences aimed at an international, global audience.

“Let us rethink the mission of an NGO dedicated to arts because this is not just about helping out the local young talents: House of Today is also about introducing projects with an unique sense of aesthetic through unexpected collaborations, thus demonstrating balance and common respect for a singular conversation in Beirut. Through their inspiration, personality and expertise, all the invited artists and designers are giving the world a part of themselves, offering an overview of today’s creativity in Lebanon and beyond. This collection of pieces with different dimensions, materials and functionalities all embrace creativity as a common language based on passion and originality” explains the curator Sam Baron.
Founded by Cherine Magrabi Tayeb in 2012 and based in Beirut, House of Today is a nonprofit organisation that identifies, showcases, nurtures, and connects emerging Lebanese designers to a regional and global design network.
