In Turin, the rooms of the historic Palazzo Biscaretti — which was gravely flooded last year — are hosting a series of dramatic site-specific installations by French artist Georges Rousse. "L'Étoile du Nord…that is every cloud has a silver lining" has been curated by Roberto Grasselli and Valerio Tazzetti for the Zabert gallery.

The works in the exhibition, which will be deleted when the palazzo is definitely restructured, are presented accompanied by seven large photographs, as well as some preparatory drawings and a time-lapse video of the artist at work in the gallery.
Born in 1947, Rousse is known to audiences for his pictorial interventions in vacant and dilapidated spaces. These deserted environments gain a new dimension through the artist's work. The space is transformed by a complex technique, with a subtle prospective play of volumes and colours. Rousse's works usually disappears with time, once the spaces are renovated or further intervened upon.
