Swedish design studio Note Design has recently completed the Rondell internal mail hub, designed for Boxit Design. Presented during the recent Stockholm Design Week, Rondell seeks to offer a new solution for handling office mail, away from the traditional office mail bins which usually hang on a wall.
Rondell (meaning "roundabout" in Swedish) collects 30 mail trays in one piece of furniture. The object seeks to become a natural meeting place at any office, with the usual function of sorting and organizing mail but with the addition of a table and storage unit.
The internal mail hub incorporates the Boxit Design's principle of sustainability, being fully built and assembled in the Swedish region of Småland, a well
known region for Swedish furniture makers.
Available in one size and two different colours, Rondell was originally presented in Stockholm at Note Design's Note Open 2013, a concept space devised in collaboration with Fabege, a pop-up office
and exhibition space inside an old bulb factory.
