The fruit of research into the historic fashion house's archives, the new collection presented by Michael Young combines Italian production quality with technological innovations typical of Asia.

Michael Young jumped on a plane from Hong Kong straight from having been present at the birth of his son, Mr. Young Jr, just over 24 hours ago. He is exhausted but radiant when we meet him in the Café Trussardi to hear about the 100 Collection he designed for Trussardi.

When Michael Young was invited to delve into the company archives, he jumped at the chance, having fallen in love with the leather seats produced by Trussardi for Alitalia in the 1990s. With huge respect for Italian design culture and a longing to design an iconic product that would both express Italian production quality and the technological innovation typical of the Asian world, Young designed the 100 Collection, seating, tables, stools and coffee tables in plastic or wood and hand-covered with Trussardi leather.
