Carlsberg breweries have moved their production from the historic site in central Copenhagen. The area has been opened up for urban development. The focus was on attracting urban life prior to the development of new buildings and infrastructure. 3 urban spaces at Carlsberg close to Vesterbro. 2 are finished TAP E Plads + Boblepladsen, the 3rd NY TAP PLADS will open later this year.

Developed in cooperation between primus arkitekter and parkourorganisation Streetmovement the project takes an experimental approach to the development of urban spaces. By thinking the urban furniture as a landscape it creates an informal space that doesn´t dictate the use of it. 30 by 30cm solid oak beams in length up to 5 meters make up the ondulated landscape. Various familiar situations are integrated, but at the same time the structures transcends familiarity and offers a completely open structure that invites social initiatives.

Project was presented at the 2010 Biennale in Venice.
