Sochi and Black Sea Shore: preparation for the Olympics

Preparation for the XXII Olympic Winter Games in 2014 is clearly visible in Sochi and adjacent towns. Apart from the rapidly developing infrastructure and picturesque beaches, Russian and the nearby Abkhazian Black Sea Shore offer first class historic and architectural monuments.

Fig. 7. Hopefully, the parquet floor of the main church of New Athos will not be replaced. In particular, it must be protected from damage in the course of interior restoration. The best way of conservation should be lacquering after a gently scraping.

Time Space Existence: the Future of Architecture In Venice

Until November 23, 2025, Venice is the global hub for architectural discussion with "Time Space Existence." This biennial exhibition, spearheaded by the European Cultural Centre, features projects from 52 countries, all focused on "Repairing, Regenerating, and Reusing" for a more sustainable future.
