For the 4th time the VIVID Gallery in Rotterdam will be
joining the Design Miami fair and presents in Miami, next
week, the complete installation of Studio Job’s Farm. This
presentation, in conjunction with the Zuiderzee Museum,
will be the first time to be seen in the United States. The
Farm consists of 30 objects crafted from rosewood,
bronze, leather and glass, each in an edition of 6 pieces.
Farm is a tribute to a perfect country life – a fictive farmer
and his wife living in an ignorant and happy scenery. Far
away from the fear that surrounds everyday life, the Farm
can be seen as a perfect hallucination. The series has been
added to the permanent collection of the Zuiderzee
Museum in Enkhuizen.
Studio Job's body of work stretches to the horizon of the
field with unorthodox installations, collections and unique
objects. Denying functionalism, while embracing sculptural
aspects of the object, the works are historical, narrative,
intelligent and perfectly manufactured.
