Aesop stores to host Gareth Neal

Aesop has a longstanding commitment to supporting the work of new and emerging designers. In this spirit, we are displaying Gareth Neal’s furniture in both our Mount Street and Westbourne Grove stores as part of the London Design Festival. Gareth graduated from Buckinghamshire College in 1996 with honours in Furniture Design and Craftsmanship. He operates from his Dalston studio, and also teaches design at Staffordshire University. Gareth’s work celebrates the history of his craft and imbues it with a contemporary expression, combining traditional techniques and forms with modern technology to create his distinctive furniture. His works have been exhibited extensively in institutions including Contemporary Applied Arts, Saatchi Gallery, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Birmingham Museum of Art and Sotheby’s in New York and London. The installation of Gareth’s furniture during London Design Festival will offer visitors the opportunity to engage with his intelligent and innovative approach to design.
