Vending machines sell Milanese designs at democratic prices

Objects designed by a group of Milanese designers are dispensed from a vending machine at Fusina market in Citta Studi, in a move to support the neighbourhood.

A team of thirteen designers living in Città Studi in Milan grouped together to work out a project that could improve the life of their neighbourhood.

Starting from Claudio Larcher and Francesco Fusillo’s idea, each designer has created an object designed according to the needs and urgencies of the inhabitants of the neighborhood: small gestures to go back and love the place where you live.

The theatre of the CITTÀSTUDIO project is the Fusina market, where objects are sold through a vending machine at a symbolic price, a small pledge in recognition of the reflections given by the designers to the community.

The strength of this collective idea shows how design can becomes an effective recipe for improving our lives.
