Space Encounters creates temporary museum of Dutch creativity

The Amsterdam architecture studio designed a structure composed of blue geometric blocks, each presenting a different experience of Dutch creativity during Milan Design Week.

The Museum was created in collaboration with Creative Holland in the courtyard of Palazzo Clerici. The structure is a composition of blue geometric forms, which visitors explore without prior knowledge of the exhibit within: a small world apart that aims to erase all sorts of distractions from the outside and allow the visitor to concentrate.

A Dutch photographer, Reinier van der Aart, works in one room, while others offer a VR experience, projections and music – to be enjoyed from the comfort of a set of Rietveld-designed armchairs. A ten minute dark romantic comedy made by Wiebe van den Ende is presented as preview in the museum. The areas are deliberately in contrast with each other, creating a unique experience for visitors passing from one room to another.
