How would you define your personal design style?
We have always liked to design objects with linear forms and we still believe in that today. It is possible to create beautiful shapes working with two dimensional elements. This is the starting point, then we work on the technical side and add a bit of humour.
What are the characteristics of Brit design?
British designers have had to confront the shortage of companies and as a result a lack of competent producers who are able to refine projects which are technically complex. They have had to do it on their own, so their designs had to be simpler.
Are there any advantages for Brits compared to Italians?
We have more chance of working from very young. We come out of college and we are already operative. In other countries with more tradition and a strong market from the point of view of design, such as Italy for example, you have to be older to be accepted as a designer.
