A flexible small room becomes whatever you need

Russian firm SA lab designed a place inspired by the traditional Scandinavian grill house, adaptable to any kind of situation: a sauna in the countryside or a guest room on the roof.

FLEXSE, is a tiny space by SA lab inspired by the traditional Scandinavian grill house. The St. Petersburg-based architecture studio wanted to make an all-season house adaptable to many functions and places: the compact module can be used in different situations, both during winter and summer, in a countryside or in the city.

FLEXSE is a 10.5 square meters-room and can be whatever people may need, from a sauna to a guest house. It could be an office, a shop or, again, a small café and a gallery. Its small dimensions make it fit in different scenarios and foundations, on the ground, on the landscape, on the river and even on roofs. The module is made of recyclable materials and the finishings are customizable.
